The legacy “Content on Demand Button” widget has been upgraded with additional features and isnow named the “Button” widget.
A Button widget has the capability to launch the following widgets in fullscreen mode:
1. Content on Demand
2. Intel JCI Map
3. Intel Smart Building
4. Web Page
To create a Button widget, follow these steps:
1. Login to L Squared Hub.
2. After logging in, navigate to the Content Library.
3. Click the "Add New Content" button.
4. Select the "Create Widget" tab.
5. In the left panel, search for and select "Button" from the list of available widgets.
6. Provide a name for the widget.
7. Select the “Type” of the widget. Available options are:
a. Content on Demand
b. Intel JCI Map
c. Intel Smart Building
d. Web Page
8. Apart from the first option “Content on Demand”, if you select any other option, you will
have to select the target widget which you want to open in fullscreen mode when the
button is clicked on display. Select the widget from the Content Library.
9. If you want a close button on the opened content, check the “Close Button” option in
widget’s settings.
10. If you want the opened content to be auto closed after a certain time of no user activities
(clicks), select the “Custom” option for the “Idle Timeout” and provide the timeout time in
seconds.
11. For the button’s UI design, you can either select an image from the Content Library, or you
can provide label, icon, color etc. in the widget’s settings.

12. Save the widget and schedule it to the device.
