Images and Videos Recommended for the L Squared Hub

Tips & Tricks regarding contents Recommended for the L Squared Hub such as dimensions.

Overview

The L Squared Hub is a robust content management and distribution system. It will accept many different types of images and videos to be uploaded. However, to ensure that your graphics appear on the display in the best way possible, you should follow these guidelines.

Content Size and Frames

The dimensions (or length and width) of the content should match the dimensions of the frame you wish to use the image in. For example, if the frame you wish to schedule the image into is 500x500 then the image you create should be 500x500. If the size doesn’t match, the system will try to scale the image to fit into the frame.

Image File Format

While the system will accept many different types of images, it is recommended that you use JPG when available to ensure your images appear in the best way possible on the display.

Recommended Format: JPG.

Size: Matched exactly to frame if possible.

DPI: 72.

Video File Format

While the system will accept many different types of videos, it is recommended that you use MP4 when available to ensure your videos appear in the best way possible on the display.

Recommended Format: MP4.

Bit Rate: 2000.

Note about video dimensions: Videos are typically made in standard dimensions either 720p (1280x720) or 1080p (1920x1080). It is suggested that you use frames in your layout that best match this aspect ratio (16:9).
