Here are some Tips & Tricks to use as a refresher from the video:
Frame Layouts Overview

- Important to consider the size of frames to ensure content fits and looks its best.

-
Initial Setup:

- Create a custom layout or choose one from the Frame Layout Library.
-
Importing and Using a Layout:
- Navigate to the library tab within the "Frame Layouts" section.
- Layouts are organized by the number of frames.
- Select the desired layout and click "Use Frame Layout," then confirm by clicking "Yes."
- The imported frame layout is ready for assignment to a device.
-
Assignment Process:
- Click on the desired layout and select "Assign" to open the assignment wizard.
- Provide a name for the assignment and select the date range (usually set to "Forever").
- Choose the device(s) and click "Save."
Content Scaling and Aspect Ratio
- Automatic Scaling:
- Scheduled content will automatically scale to fit the assigned frame.
- Aspect Ratio Considerations:
- If the content's aspect ratio differs from the frame's aspect ratio (e.g., square content in a rectangular frame), filler colors may appear on the sides.
- Ensure the content's aspect ratio matches the frame's aspect ratio for proper scaling.
Creating a Custom Frame Layout
- Steps:
- Click "Create New Frame Layout" in the first tab.
- Name your layout and choose the screen orientation (usually landscape).
- Select the screen resolution (e.g., 1920x1080 for 1080p).
- Note: Higher resolutions may require special media players; consult L Squared support for creating layouts with higher resolutions or video walls.
- Assign the newly created frame layout to a device.
